DESCRIPTION: YoloDeals is an website that offers a daily discount on a local product or service and donates a portion of the sales to selected charities. Yolo’s brand was designed to promote a fun, colorful and casual company who is out to do good and they needed to utilize and build that brand equity within future projects. b.todd designed a series of web banners to be used for an affiliate marketing campaign. We also helped YoloDeals streamline their email marketing deployment which they use to send out the “Daily Deal” and cleaned up the layout and design of their mail template.

PROJECT: Web Design- WordPress CMS
CLIENT: Aqueous Solutions
DESCRIPTION: We assisted AQ in further developing their brand by redesigning their website based on their updated brand identity. They wanted a minimalist style site with slight splashes of color and utilizing their vast library of photographs from AQ’s work in South East Asia. Based on their current direction and focus on research and field work, AQ desried a site that was visually appealing and communicated their story and principles, but did not require a lot of maintenance or updating. However they wanted a good back-bone in case future plans required expansion of the site. We decided on implementing WordPress on the back end for functionality and ease of maintenance for AQ.

PROJECT: Brand Identity Design
CLIENT: Havana Nights
DESCRIPTION: Havana Nights is a Cuban-themed party that is being put on to benefit the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center. They needed a logo for the event that embodied classic Cuban feel with a modern contemporary edge to target both young adults as well as high-net-worth philanthropists. The mark combines a classic symbol of Cuban lifestyle, a fedora, and colorization inspired by Cuban artwork with a nightlife/club feel.

CLIENT: Beecher Development Services
DESCRIPTION:Beecher Development Services is a new company that offers owner representation services, project management, construction management and sustainable design consultation. They wanted their new identity to be simple and clean, yet be very geometric in design. BDS offered the challenge to us to try and design a logo and identity within these guidelines while also incorporating the golden ratio. The logo mark was built using a true perspective grid and a geometric typeface was chosen to compliment the mark. We then combined the two pieces to be golden ration proportionate.

DESCRIPTION: Clear Stream is a new fulfillment and warehousing company who needed to develop a strong identity for their company launch. They see themselves as a versatile company and wanted a logo that was fluid and matched their new name and their versatility.

PROJECT: Brand Identity Design
CLIENT: Aqueous Solutions
DESCRIPTION: Aqueous Solutions is a non-profit that focuses on global water sanitation issues and conducts research and civic projects mainly in Asia. They have been in existence for a few years, but wanted to take their brand and design to the next level to step up public support and fund-raising. Their main goals were to differentiate themselves from the other numerous water based non-profit organizations while keeping a more weighted focus on science and research. They also wanted to go with a younger, “eco-groovy” look for their brand design. The logo was designed in collaboration with a Japanese designer, Taku Satoh, who is also a strong supporter of global water reform and generously donated the “Umbrella Man” portion which was originally used for an art exihibition on water issues.

PROJECT: Tradeshow Banners
CLIENT: Project Wilderness
DESCRIPTION: Project Wilderness is starting a trade show campaign for 2010 and needed a strong presence for their booths to raise awareness, funds and volunteer support for the organization. This was a great opportunity for both us and Project Wilderness to further develop their brand. They had been playing around with using the idea of “What’s Your Reason?” as their main call to action. We thought it was a very strong brand to run with because it can evoke personal reasoning in helping the organization within almost anyone in their target audience. The banners were designed with this idea as the forefront to communicate the “What’s Your Reason?” campaign quickly and be far reaching in a large exhibition hall and busy trade show environment. Also, since Project Wilderness is all about protecting the environment, the banners are supported by a sustainable, eco-friendly bamboo frame as opposed to plastic or metal.

CLIENT: FTD Software, LLC
DESCRIPTION: The “FTD” is short for Flying Turbo Dog, hence a flying dog house depicted in the logo. Skip from FTD is just starting his software consulting and development company and needed a professional logo, but he didn’t really want it to look like a lot of the software/web based logo’s out there. We went for something a little bit techie coupled with a little fun to bring our Skip’s personality in the logo.

description: Exterior signs for Sages’ Healing Center’s new office. We designed a 5′ X 9′ lightbox sign for the buildings main side and also did vinyl lettering for the front doors and a vinyl window banner for their corner window.

client: Heartisan
description: Heartisan makes unique, handcrafted goods such as jewelry, handbags, stuffed animals and knit hats. They pride themselves on the homemade feel of their goods and some very nice fabrics and patterns. Their name derives from the words “Heart” and “Artisan” and their brand is “Handmade from the Heart”. We wanted to carry that handmade feeling into the logo and I used some of their products as inspiration.
