The following is a collection of our favorite rejected concepts of the year. While we like a lot of the work we present to clients, the fact is only one concept finally makes the cut. It’s kind of like Thunderdome—many ideas enter, one idea leaves.

These designs may not have found a home with their intended clients (sheesh), but they’ll get to be displayed in all their glory right here. Enjoy and Happy New Year!

So our blogging frequency has been close to nil these past few months, but there is a very good excuse for this…we’re busy. B.Todd wishes you all a Happy New Year and a prosperous 2010. As you all are celebrating a new year, a new decade and maybe…probably thinking: “2009, don’t let the door hit you on the way out!”, please be safe tonight.

As a way to celebrate the new year (and prove that we actually do work around here) here is a sneak peak at a couple projects we’re working on for our clients and good friends LaxGear. First is an new print ad going in the February issue of Lacrosse Magazine. Second is a preview of the soon to come new website for LaxGear.

Fun With Twitter

I have not yet delved into the wacky world of Twitter as a user, but I, as the rest of humanity, have been involuntarily subjected to it in the form of thousands of Twitter off-shoot websites, celebrity tweeting and limitless Twitter jokes. My personal favorite twitter-esque comedy has to be Conan O’Brien’s TwitterTracker:

Back to the post, I recently had the opportunity to design a logo for a Twitter-based website called Bar Tweet that is actually pretty promising. Basically, it collects a bunch of tweets from people out at bars so they can list real-time drink specials, reviews, etc. So if you want to find the best place to be that night, you just check out Bar Tweet and you can get a pretty good idea of where to go and possibly more important…where to avoid.

This was by far the funnest design I’ve done in a while because ideas for the incorporation of the very fun Twitter Brand was pretty limitless, and then combine that with bars and drinking, and you can come up with some pretty off the wall stuff. Anyway, The Bar Tweet guys wanted a little more serious logo, but it was hard not to make some pretty funny concepts based on Twitter and drinking.
